AN EVENING OF CANADIAN MUSIC AND THEATRE
STEVE PARKINSON AND THE STONY LONESOME
Steve Parkinson and The Stony Lonesome combine Folk Rock with elements of Classic Country and Western Swing to create a sound that is at once gritty and timeless. Based on the lyrics and melodies of Steve Parkinson, the Lonesome boys weave musical tales of Canadiana, love lost and love gained all while getting people out of their seats to two-step into the wee hours, reminiscent of Texas-dancehalls of the 1950's. Their debut release 'Leaving My Key' (2011), received critical acclaim, and the Lonesome boys look to build on their catalogue as they head into the studio again, anticipating a Fall 2013 LP release.

THE LYFSUX THEATRE
The Lyfsux Theatre traces the journey of a Canadian actor named Lazarus. He finds himself in an apprenticeship at a warped theatre company in which people talk to walls and bask in dark issues, such as death and incest. There is no communication within the company, the plays are of a very poor quality, and everyone seems to be happy only when they are miserable. Lazarus intends to find a way out of this paradoxical world...but is it possible?
