Why Choose 20 Performing Arts Academy?
From the moment I met Theresa, I felt welcomed. Theresa is an amazing director and confidence builder. Before I met her, I was shy and not as comfortable on stage. During rehearsals Theresa encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone. She helped build my confidence and by showtime I was confident and ready. She makes you feel included, and she is always rooting for you. Theresa is supportive, she always goes to see the other shows I am in and talks to me after. She is also a kind and generous person. Thank you for going above and beyond Theresa!! For all of these reasons I would recommend Theresa Noon-Hunter and the 20 Performing Arts Academy!!
-Chase Kovacs
I have known Theresa Noon-Hunter for a long time and she has been an amazing teacher to me throughout my childhood. She has been a kind, uplifting, and supportive role model. I have learned many valuable lessons from her in performing, and she is great at finding ways to explain things that you are having trouble understanding when learning something new. She has always ensured a fun and judgment free learning environment for me. Also, when directing, Theresa manages to find everyone their “moment” to shine on stage. I can’t wait to continue to grow with Theresa in the future, and would recommend everyone to experience the joy she brings to the creative process by taking part in her shows. Thank you Theresa for always being there for me!!
-Kari Ostermeier
I grew up on stage performing classical music but took a 20-year hiatus to pursue my career and start a family. After many unsuccessful attempts to find a coach who could offer new insights, I was introduced to Theresa. She has taught me that I am capable of far more than I ever imagined. Theresa is my number one supporter in both my performances and personal endeavours, and I can’t thank her enough for all the doors she has opened for me. Thank you, Theresa, for trusting in me and being a true friend.

Theresa's performing arts resume is one to be rivalled! She is a York University graduate who starred in the Live travelling show of CSI which took her across North America. Her passion for the performing arts shines through in her everyday life and her favourite thing to do is pass that passion down to the next generation! Don’t take my word for it….See for yourself what 20 Performing Arts Academy can do for your child!

When the idea of a “pitching” event (ICanPitch; ICP) was hatched, there were some government grants that the team envisioned would fit. The conference would allow participants to speak with producers, directors and agents in the film industry. The goal was to pitch their idea to the people who could bring the project to the screen. A great deal of planning had to occur before the ICP event could come to fruition. The team applied to several grants, one of which was called the Job Creation Partnership (JCP). The primary objective was to “provide valuable recent work experience to participants” which they could use to apply for jobs. The participants were unemployed persons with certain skills. In this case, their skills were in management, planning and assistance within the film industry. A leader with exceptional skills in communication, team-building, organization and passion had to be found to lead the JCP group. Kristen Henderson was hired as that person and she did not disappoint. The ICP conference was a huge success. Not only that, but the JCP participants all obtained jobs afterwards with the experiences they had in creating and managing the event. Most of the participants continue to keep in touch with Kristen all these years later. Kristen Henderson can be counted upon to achieve the goals of the initiative and beyond.
-Catherine Astolfo
I had the pleasure to work with Kristen in 2006 when she hired me as the Client Relations Coordinator for the "i CAN Pitch" Film/TV Pitch Event. In her role as JCP Manager Kristen provided a friendly and collaborative work environment with her positive attitude. Her problem solving and conflict resolution skills made my job much easier and I have been happy to work with her on a number of smaller projects in the years since then. Kristen would be an asset to any company or organization.
