What People Are Saying

I have known Theresa Noon-Hunter for a long time and she has been an amazing teacher to me throughout my childhood. She has been a kind, uplifting, and supportive role model. I have learned many valuable lessons from her in performing, and she is great at finding ways to explain things that you are having trouble understanding when learning something new. She has always ensured a fun and judgment free learning environment for me. Also, when directing, Theresa manages to find everyone their “moment” to shine on stage. I can’t wait to continue to grow with Theresa in the future, and would recommend everyone to experience the joy she brings to the creative process by taking part in her shows. Thank you Theresa for always being there for me!! - Kari O

From the moment I met Theresa, I felt welcomed. Theresa is an amazing director and confidence builder. Before I met her, I was shy and not as comfortable on stage. During rehearsals Theresa encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone. She helped build my confidence and by showtime I was confident and ready. She makes you feel included, and she is always rooting for you. Theresa is supportive, she always goes to see the other shows I am in and talks to me after. She is also a kind and generous person. Thank you for going above and beyond Theresa!! For all of these reasons I would recommend Theresa Noon-Hunter and the 20 Performing Arts Academy!! - Chase K

Theresa's performing arts resume is one to be rivalled! She is a York University graduate who starred in the Live travelling show of CSI which took her across North America. Her passion for the performing arts shines through in her everyday life and her favourite thing to do is pass that passion down to the next generation! Don’t take my word for it….See for yourself what 20 Performing Arts Academy can do for your child! -Sean N

When the idea of a “pitching” event (ICanPitch; ICP) was hatched, there were some government grants that the team envisioned would fit. The conference would allow participants to speak with producers, directors and agents in the film industry. The goal was to pitch their idea to the people who could bring the project to the screen. A great deal of planning had to occur before the ICP event could come to fruition. The team applied to several grants, one of which was called the Job Creation Partnership (JCP). The primary objective was to “provide valuable recent work experience to participants” which they could use to apply for jobs. The participants were unemployed persons with certain skills. In this case, their skills were in management, planning and assistance within the film industry. A leader with exceptional skills in communication, team-building, organization and passion had to be found to lead the JCP group. Kristen Henderson was hired as that person and she did not disappoint. The ICP conference was a huge success. Not only that, but the JCP participants all obtained jobs afterwards with the experiences they had in creating and managing the event. Most of the participants continue to keep in touch with Kristen all these years later. Kristen Henderson can be counted upon to achieve the goals of the initiative and beyond.

I had the pleasure to work with Kristen in 2006 when she hired me as the Client Relations Coordinator for the "i CAN Pitch" Film/TV Pitch Event. In her role as JCP Manager Kristen provided a friendly and collaborative work environment with her positive attitude. Her problem solving and conflict resolution skills made my job much easier and I have been happy to work with her on a number of smaller projects in the years since then. Kristen would be an asset to any company or organization.

There’s A Production creates shows that are utterly addictive. Often based on something from the past - such as a game or a TV show - the productions are already inherently interesting. The talent then takes the audience to another level and tons of laughter with witty writing, terrific acting and singing. The latter is often a bit of a shock because out of the mouths of these funny people come stunning voices that belong on professional stages. The shows are often filled with audience participation as well, which adds to the fun. My husband and I never miss a show if we can help it, and we have been multiple times to the same one. There is always something different (sometimes even a different murderer!). These murder mystery events are pure pleasure and a fun night out as a couple or with lots of friends. - Cathy A

I took my 9-year-old last night. She has never seen an episode of Golden Girls, but during intermission was able to look at a still from the series and pick out who was who simply based on There's A Production's actors. An amazing show - funny, witty, and charming, you know you'll be fed well, treated well, and eager to return. Great job Theresa.("daughter")and I had a blast. - Care H

One of my all-time favourite shows is The Golden Girls. I have gone to both Golden Girls inspired There's a Production shows. Top notch, hilarious shows that captured all that The Golden Girls were. Other shows I have attended are the 1920's, and Johnny Carson. In each production, Theresa chooses the very best actors to portray the characters with immense talent and professionalism. Congratulations on producing the best of the best murder mystery shows for all of us to enjoy!

We went to There's A Production's rendition of Downtown Abbey for my fiancés birthday. The show was amazing! Well written, great music and fabulous cast. We were even able to make arrangements for one of the cast to present my fiancé his birthday gift during one of the breaks where the cast mingle in character amongst the guests. Our whole party had a great night out! We have been to many of the shows and I would recommend the experience to anyone and everyone. Thanks Theresa Noon-Hunter for all that you do to keep us entertained!!! - Laurie K

Beautifully made and edited. Very bare simple. Allowing us to focus on the details and emotion of the stories of each of these courageous women. The choice to alternate between different victors highlighted both the differences and similarities between stories, but keeping it down to a few at a time, stops us viewers from getting overwhelmed or losing connection to them individually. It was inspiring, eye opening and heartbreaking, all at the same time. It provided a safe space for these women to feel heard and free of judgement. - Paul J about "...and I Survived", A There's A Production Documentary

It was absolutely intense, and of course stirred up feelings (how could it not), but I definitely appreciated the simplistic approach that allowed for a focus on these important stories, and the ending scene was very inspiring. - Lauren L about "...and I Survived", A There's A Production Documentary
